I don't plan to report on trade rumors this winter, because that's just what they are: rumors. I'm sure you've heard the buzz about the Braves trying to acquire Padres' pitcher Jake Peavy and that we'd have to give up several names we know for him. But did you know the Padres' main announcer is moving cross-country, and Boog's name is being mentioned as an option for his replacement? That's not cool. I love Boog and I'm not ready for him to go anywhere!

Hey- Maybe if we send them Boog (who I love by the way) we can keep Escobar? Think they'd go for Boog for Peavy straight up?

The only problem with sending them Chip is that we would probably have to include another prospect also...maybe his younger brother? (doesn't he call games for Rome?)

Wow. If Boog got frustrated with the Braves this year, I can't imagine what he'll do in Sandy Eggo. The Padres flat-out suck. They won't get any better without Peavy, either. Ouch.
