Javy Lopez throws out the first pitch of 2008

Ceremonial first pitch, that is, and he's lovely as ever...

Yes, a friend asked if I was crying. No, I wasn't! Not even teary! They were all making fun of me for the Kots/Superman thing last week. (The sound effects guy played the Superman music in Friday's exhibition game when Kots made a dive in CF, and I got a little misty because I don't recall hearing that music played for anyone but Andruw. I didn't think I'd miss Andruw, but I guess I do.)

Thanks for posting that. I've been reading your blog for about a year now. As a fellow female fan, I appreciate your love (and nicknames) for the players. I miss Javy and wish he could be with the team; but I understand the decision.

BTW. I will be at the Ted on the 20th to see one of Andruw's return games! It'll be odd to see him in a Dodger's uniform.

Thanks for posting, Stacey. I don't have nearly as many people commenting as I see reading the site, so please know that comments are welcome! I'm getting between 45-50 hits a day from Australia, and I never hear from those people. I pass along all the Moylan info I can find, y'all! :)

Thanks so much for this. I was stuck with radio for this game(though I enjoyed hearing Skip and Pete) and I was ticked off that I missed it. I figured they probably showed a little bit of it on TV. I'll confess, when I read the article on the Braves site and it mentioned him hugging Smoltz and Chipper I got a little misty-eyed.

And yeah I was at that game on Friday too, and thought of the same thing, that was the music they always played for Andruw.
