September Callups!

Coming up from Richmond: Charlie Morton (who never left the team), Brent Lillibridge, Corky Miller, Jeff Ridgway, and James Parr. A couple of coaches have been called up too -- GCL manager Luis Ortiz and Pearl Mississippi's Phil Wellman. Maybe he's here to help Frenchy again? ;)

And sad news from the AJC:

Both Matt Diaz and Rafael Soriano were transferred to the 60-day disabled list to make room for Miller and Parr on the 40-man roster.
Awww, does that mean we won't see MattE playing again this season, or is it retro'ed to his last start? And will MattE ever play a game in a Braves uni again? I'm very concerned about this. Braves.com says:
Diaz, who has been sidelined since May 27 with a torn MCL in his left knee, is expected to visit noted knee specialist Dr. Richard Steadman again on Sept. 15.
Good luck, MattE. You've been fun to watch, and I hope you can stay.

Officially the 60 day DL is the same as the 15 and Matt has already missed that much time. But- in order to put someone on the 60 day you have to take them off the active roster so basicaly MattE is done for the year:(

I really hope they bring him back...

LILLI :). I love me some Lillibridge :D.
I've missed him, :D.

As for Matt, :(. I really liked him, what is it with the Braves losing my favorite players somehow? Gosh.
