"Smoltz Knows Best"

That's not a picture of him doing his post-season TV work, but the tongue was cute. :) He's much better at this TV thing than he's been in the past; it may be because the season's over for his team. Here are some things to read / look out for!

New York Times: Smoltz Knows Best

The Biz of Baseball: Comments & Interviews from Day One of the Division Series on TBS

Thanks, Jennifer, for those two links. Also got these two from tipster "S"...

Sporting News Radio: Listen for him to call in tomorrow (10/3/08) around 5:45 ET. It's available on XM or the SN Radio website!

NFL Countdown on ESPN: This Sunday (10/5/08) Smoltz will be talking about his Tommy John surgery for a piece about Jake DelHomme. (still tentative - will update if anything changes)

This is awesome! Um, it's not awesome that he's an expert on surgery, but you know what I mean. ;) His commentary on the game was pretty good, and he even had a few Smoltzie-isms sneak in. Anyone else hear him say "right over the pate" yesterday? Always thinking about his baldness, that one. Some of us don't mind a bald man! Just saying!

My fave was "For youse of those..." His tongue gets ahead of his brain, I think. See what I did there? :) Yesterday, Dan Patrick asked him something like, "Do you have more confidence in your arm or your mouth?" which about made me swallow my tongue.

He's donig really well. I'm so proud of him. I'll admit it, I was moderately worried. And, he looks absolutely yummy all dressed up. <3

I'm enjoying Smoltzie's work too. Only reason I'm watching the Phils/Brewers series is because he & Joe are working it. And while I don't really look at him "that way", I will say that he cleans up very nicely.

I LOVE that picture. I love how his cute bubble butt wraps around and makes him a little hippy. As opposed to hippie. But, that would be fun, too. Right, Lizziebeth? :)

Absolutely, jennifer!!!
The only down side to this pic is looking in his eyes, you can see he's in pain. I think this was the game he left in the 4th because of that shoulder.
Otherwise, ~swoon~!
