The Braves official fan magazine reports, in the October issue...
Tim and Kim Hudson planned a week-long trip to Costa Rica, Oct. 10-17, with 10 other couples. Among others planning the tropical getaway were Jeff and Catie Francoeur, Greg and Jaena Norton and former Braves Andruw Jones and his wife, Nicole, Pete Orr and wife, Jodi, and Adam LaRoche and his wife, Jenn. Former Oakland A's teammate Jason Isringhausen and his wife, Lorrie, also made the trip, as did Hudson's niece, Holly, and her husband, Travis Bell. Some of the planned activities were soaking in the volcanic mud baths, surfing, sunning by the pool, and a treetop zip line tour of the rainforest canopy...Sounds like fun! I'm only counting eight couples, not eleven. Wonder who the other three couples are?
Brian and Ashley McCann are to vacation at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas for a week in October...Heeeeeeey, that's where Frenchy went on his honeymoon! *wink wink*
Kelly Johnson and his wife, Lauren, are to take a two-week trip to Italy, beginning Oct. 20. After flying into Venice, the couple will travel to Cinque Terra, Florence, and the Tuscany region. From there, they'll travel to Rome where they plan to stay three days. "We'll be there 14 nights total," said Lauren. "We're so excited." ...How CUTE are they?! I totally see KJ as more the Vespa-around-Rome-type than the sun-by-the-pool type. Awesome.
Frenchy's blog lists a few more of his vacation plans for the off-season...
To start the off-season, I plan on getting on Delta and going to Costa Rica this month with my wife Catie. I'm also planning a vacation with Catie and her family to Colorado, which I'm very much looking forward to. Of course, I plan to make some frequent trips to my family's condo in Florida for some golf and relaxation, and on November 3rd Catie and I are going to be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We may, just may, have time for a trip to New Zealand as well, and we're in the process of checking into that as I write this.I sure wish I could take this many vacations! :D He works hard, though.

Yeah, even though he's not as high on my list as his buddy, that picture = *thud*. I'll come out and say it, he's very good to look at first thing in the morning, especially in that picture. ;D
Sad that he didn't mention any vacations with his buddy, though. Maybe they'll spend some time together.
Maybe those are the New Zealand plans that are being hammered out! Oooh, and maybe they'll hop over to Australia while they're in Oceania and Pete can give them a tour? :)
I thought that Pete had to stay in Atlanta during the off season to do his rehab here? But maybe if he takes a break or something.
Maybe the New Zealand plans are top secret or something, lol. Ok, maybe not. Hopefully we'll see some brotherly bonding while they have the time to do so. Golf maybe? Another basketball game, perhaps? Either way, FanFest is our best option since they did everything there together this past year. But who knows when that will be since they haven't even announced it yet.
He said in an interview... somewhere... that he does have to stay in the US for rehab, but he's going home for a few weeks around Christmas to visit family. Everyone shuts down that time of year anyway.
Hee hee, the basketball game. Luckily I saved that video before YouTube took it down, and I trimmed it to just the McFrenchy part. I wish I could get in touch with that kid to get his permission to re-post it here! :)
that may be the best picture EVER of Francoeur:)
He is just so nice to look at- regardless of what you think of him (although I happen to be a big fan)...almost as pretty as a certain bald catcher
By the way Lauren and KJ have secrued my vote as the most adorable couple EVER:)
Italy. <3 Perfect. <3
frenchy sure has to mention Delta a lot in his blog, doesn't he? ;)
and Italy with KJ? what a DREAM!!
There is a PE coach at my school named Dennis Stromie... He coached Jeff in highschool at Parkview. I talked to him a coupole weeks ago and we were talking about my love for Jeff, and he said that it was a very high possibility that Jeff would be coming to my school for the golf tournament. The next week I asked him if it was still going to happen and he said that he had spoken to Jeff the night before, and him and Catie were going to Costa Rica. I read Jeff's blog last night and I was like holy cow! Anyways, he's still giving coach stromie things to auction off at the tournament.
