Blog reader Bethany sent over this great shot of herself with Mr. Schafer -- she met him in '08 at a Mississippi Braves game. Was he nice? Something in his eyes says he knows how great he is. (Or, how great his potential is...) ;)

Bethany is a cutie.
He wasn't mean, but he wasn't exactly friendly either. He was just sitting off to himself until some woman next to me kept begging him for a picture and autograph. He ignored her for a while, but he finally gave in. He was nice enough, I suppose.
