And so much to catch up on!
1: Come on out to Turner Field on Saturday! I plan to be in the terrace level (200s) behind home plate, hopefully in the shade, if you'd like to stop by and say hi to my friends and I. (I'm in the middle of this pic; my hair is a tiny bit longer now.)
2: Did you know MattE Diaz is awesome? The AJC has a reminder, in case you forgot. ;)
3: SI.com said, "Brian McCann, David Wright, Ryan Braun, Curtis Granderson and some other Team USA players had the right attitude, and that's nice to see. But Japan proved yet again that it can play the game a lot better. If part of the idea of the WBC was to promote Major League Baseball, I'm not sure that part worked." I really loved seeing Baby and Chipper represent our country.
4: Frenchy is looking forward to '09. I think we all are! In this pic, my roommate said, "He looks like he's trying to take a crap!" :D
5: Leah IMed me with this: "Saw this on DOB's blog in the comments about the Braves LIVE broadcasts. Apparently, OKT won't be on it this year. Jerome will be doing the interviews in the locker room and a new guy will be doing the show portion with Ron Gant and Brian Jordan." ~ Link ~ BOO, I love OKT and do NOT love Jerome! Ugh.
6: Tommy Glavine reminds me of my dad a bit in this pic. You can also read a little bit about how he feels about taking such a low salary here at Newsday.com.
7: Even though the USA lost out in the semifinals of the WBC, I love some of the pics that came out... especially this one of Baby and DeRo:
8: Two great pics from the 3.16.09 Sporting News Magazine:
9: If you are interested, I uploaded a handful of pics from my vacation. We went to Destin, FL and took a half-day road trip to Panama City Beach. The weather was lovely and my shoulder is currently peeling for the second time. It's great. :D
Hope to see you Saturday!

Good for Tommy. I hope it works out for him this year!
I should be at Turner Field on Saturday, so maybe I'll see you there. :)
Wish I could be there! After I move to Georgia I swear I'll go to every Braves "event" I can.
Of course I love the Baby smile pic but I have to say that's a really cute shot of Chipper too.
flbravesgirl-
once again we are thinking alike...great pic of Chipper- but I will take Mac's smile anyday -although that pic of him and DeRo...yum:D (of course, any pic of DeRo is a good pic:D)
You know, I was thinking that was a great pic of Chipper, too. But my favorite is the one of Mac sitting in the dugout.
I'm wondering if Mac cut his hair. It looked longer than that to me when he was here at the beginning of ST. Doesn't he know he can't deprive us of the baby-duck-fuzz?
flbravesgirl-
I was wondering the same thing- but i think it will always have the baby-duck fuzz look:)
No matter how short it is you know it is just soft and fuzzy and perfect it that totally Mac way...wow I need the season to start!
I believe he had a mohawk in the beginning of ST (or got it right after he got there, one) and then let it grow out longish because I remember being excited because he was letting his hair grow out. But last night he was sporting the all even buzzed looked, as his mohawk had begun to go grow out. Guess he was over the mohawk. But I believe his hair stayed buzzed like this all throughout the off season, as off season pictures have shown (or the ones I've seen anyway).
But yes, I've missed him and his hair! ;)
Agreed about Frenchy looking like he's gotta go. Frenchy has that gassy, bloated, running-to-the-bathroom-diarrhea look. Lol.
I don't love Chipper, but I have to say... that picture of him is way cute. I like how his little paunch is sticking out from under his folded arms. :D
From what I've been reading, Heyward & Freeman are inseperable best friends ( referred to as "Salt & Pepper" in camp, according to ajc's DOB). Guess we've got another dynamic duo on the way.
