Top Ten Reasons to Watch the World Baseball Classic

I've always been amused at the random press releases that show up in my inbox. I'm a fan blogger, not a news source! :D But every once in a while I get a heads up about something really cool -- this is straight from MLB:

...from CBS Entertainment

NEW YORK, March 3 – Ten Major League Baseball stars participating in this spring's World Baseball Classic will present the "Top Ten Reasons to Watch the World Baseball Classic" on the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Thursday, March 5 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The 10 Team USA players taking part in the Top Ten List are: Derek Jeter from the New York Yankees; David Wright from the New York Mets; Chipper Jones from the Atlanta Braves; Ryan Braun from the Milwaukee Brewers; Jimmy Rollins from the Philadelphia Phillies; Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis from the Boston Red Sox; Curtis Granderson from the Detroit Tigers; Roy Oswalt from the Houston Astros; and Adam Dunn from the Washington Nationals. The World Baseball Classic, an international baseball tournament which will be played in stadiums around the globe, begins Thursday.

Interesting! And yay, Dustin Pedroia! I freakin' love him.

I'll be tuning in tomorrow!

Update: My video didn't cooperate, but the list of the Top Ten (as well as who read each one) is on Youk didn't look the same without his goatee, and Chipper almost looked friendly!

Update #2! Thanks for letting us know this was available, sdp...

I love DP, too. And Ryan Braun. He won me over when the Brewers were playing here last year, and Joe and Boog asked him what fans don't know about about the Brewers because they're in Milwaukee and don't get any national attention. Braun said, "We have the best looking team in baseball." Love it!

He and JJ Hardy have stunning eyes, don't they?

"...a worldwide tournament of baseball activity."

Ok, so the one they gave Chipper was pretty funny. But Ryan Braun and the fastball-throwing kangaroo win.
