I just can't get over how different he looks with the hat off! I vote hot on picture #1, NOT hot on pic #2. What do you think?

um, agree completely...cute in picture 1, kinda creepy ("hi, i'm derek and i'm 35. i like long walks on the beach, and i currently live in a small apartment on a local college campus. beer pong champs for life, bro!") in picture 2!

It's the hair that makes the 2nd pic so bad. I hope that's an old picture because if that's his current hair under the hat? Oh my.
Sadly, both pics are from this weekend. I found them on the AP photo page. That IS his hair. Blech.

I'll say cute for the 1st pic, but he looks like a big goof-ball in the 2nd pic. I think it's mostly due to the butt-crack part in his hair, but the face he's making isn't helping matters either.
You're kidding! When I was in college in the early 90's this haircut was all the rage. Yikes!!

I know 1st week power rankings don't mean nuthin but the boys are playing good right now, fun to watch!
On another note, I get mad when they don't get media attention and then I see something like this and automatically think JINX! As long as SI keeps them off the cover maybe they'll be okay. ;)

We used to call the guys who were only attractive with their hats ON "hat hotties," because when that hat comes off...oh, no, ma'am...
