Infinity

In all fairness, the hearts-around-the-boys-in-the-program was started by my friend B last Wednesday, who thought it would be funny to see who I really liked and who I don't.

B: "Put hearts around the ones you like and Xs on the ones you don't."
L: "You know who I like!"
B: "I know, but I want to see them all."

[Five minutes of bickering later...]

L: "Fine. Give me a pen."

[Five minutes later...]

B: "Okay, now put infinities next to the ones you like the most, because I know you don't heart them all equally."
L: "True."
B: "What are the question marks?"
L: "Sometimes I like those boys more than other times. [shrug]"
B: "Wow, so Baby doesn't get an infinity?"
L: "No."
B: "Really?"
L: "No."

So here's my chart. Judge freely. I'll be more than happy to answer questions about why a guy falls into a certain category, but try to refrain from telling me I'm an idiot for not hearting a player you heart. We all have our own point of view.

LMAO!

You surprised me with infinity for Ross but not Mac. I can guess why though. And lol at Chipper. hahahaha

Now..what did James Parr do? The only thing missing is the comments out beside the names like your roommate did. :D

Just for fun (and by fun I mean work procrastinating) -

my hearts would go to DLowe, Mac, Chipper, Jair, Omar, Gonzo, Yunel, and MATTY.

I'd give an Eh to KJ and Jordan.

X's to Buddy, Frenchy, JoJo and Petey.

Question marks to everyone else...except Casey Krotch, I'd just put a big EW over his pic.

I encouraged my roommate to write comments because I didn't, and I knew it would be more clear with comments.

Parr has yet to impress me as a pitcher, and I don't think he's very cute. Maybe when his VORP rises from negative to positive, I'll reconsider. :D

I'd also put Huddy on my heart list if he was on there. I love love love him. He is my #2 love after Mr.Jones. :D

The ajc has a good q & a with The Hudsons on the braves page today. I still think Kris Medlen looks like Kim Hudson lol.

i couldnt tell what category moylan goes in o.0!

i know, im obsessed

Lauren T. said...

Moylan's a question mark. He used to be a heart, but he's dropped WAY down on the list.

Amanda - I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who would "X" Frenchy. :)

It's an unpopular opinion for sure, Jen!

But hey, I love Chipper...which is like loving a heaping pile of $hit to most Braves fans I know lol.

DO I even need to bother sharing which ones would get the infinity? ;)

Amanda, you and I will be great friends! Chipper is my #1 favorite too and Huddy is a very close #2 with Baby coming in at #3. I love Kotchman, Kawakami, KJ, Prado, and Diaz too. As I've already said on here, I'm in love with O'Flaherty. Jo-Jo's the only one who gets an X for me. Everybody else has something between a heart and a ?

Lauren T. said...

I don't really understand how there could be a level between a heart and a question mark. A heart indicates a lovvie. A question mark indicates that the player is sometimes a lovvie, and sometimes not one. What's the level between?

Amanda - I love Chipper too, though not in the same way I love some of the others...say, I dunno....Gonzo. :D

Which is a nice segue to CABravesFan... Does Gonzo get an infinity from you? I think I'd give him a triple-heart. I'm ashamed to say that if he ever leaves the Braves (which I have a feeling is sooner rather than later), I probably won't pay him too much attention.

Jen-

my 3 infinities are:
1. Mac (big shock there!)
2. Gonzo
3. JJ (LOVE LOVE LOVE the kid!)

everyone else is either a heart or a ? Not really anyone I truly don't like, although a few are leaning toward the dreaded "Chipper Squiggle" :D

By some guys being between a heart and a question mark, I mean that I like them (some more than others), but they aren't necessarily on my all-time favorites list.

Lauren T. said...

I see. For me, the infinity indicates all time favorite. A heart just means I heart that player right now.

Oh ok. Guess we just interpreted the signs differently. :) I get what you mean, tho.

Oh, stop being a frigid b**** and put on some capris! Lauren made the rules of the game. Now if only I could get her to do the Cubs, we could have a real conversation ;-)

Lauren T. said...

Haha, Grease! (And technically, Bryce made the rules to the game. I just edited them a little.)

Send me a concise Cubs picture list and I'll do one! I'd even draw in DeRo so he could be a quadruple-heart-infinity-forever. :)

CABravesFan said...

Cubs list? Is there a limit to the number of "Chipper Sqiggles?" :) Or maybe we can just cut Soto's pic out and go from there? (sorry, carrera!)Although if you add in DeRo, the infinities might outweigh the rest ;)

Lauren T. said...

Maybe I'll just draw a heart out of a chain of infinities around DeRo. That should work juuuust fine. :D

CABravesFan said...

Works for me ;)

Um, I wasn't being a frigid bitch, carrera. I wasn't aware there were "rules." I thought it was just a fun game and everybody interpreted the symbols as they wanted. Sorry if it came off that I was being bitchy. Didn't mean it that way.

Lauren T. said...

I hate to have to say this, but watch the language, everyone. Just because you're on the internet doesn't mean you can say whatever you want to whomever you want.

imabravesgrits, if you had clicked the link in my follow-up comment to carrera's comment, you'd have seen it was clearly a joke. I know you're new around here, and I have no idea how old you are, but most of us aren't teenagers and we're not out for each other. We have a fun time and generally get along well.

Anonymous said...

Thanks, I'm not a teenager either. Haven't been for a while. I did click the link and the page wouldn't display. So, I think instead of making assumptions about me and my level of maturity you should instead be telling people to be careful what they write because it can be interpreted the wrong way.

Lauren T. said...

You seem to be the only one interpreting things "the wrong way", so I don't know what to say.

Anonymous said...

To clear the air: I never meant to offend of misinterpret anything anybody said. I don't like drama and I was never trying to pick a fight. I'm sure if I had been able to access the link the whole misunderstanding could have been avoided. But I couldn't; so sorry to everybody about the whole thing. I AM new around here and used to the throwin' punches sports blogs. But, I don't want to give anybody the wrong idea of me. I'm really a nice person and my main objective is to get along with people. (And I'm 25, by the way).

And I'm sorry if anything was misinterpreted. I thought the quote was hilarious, if out of context (a BIT!), and a joke between myself and Lauren. I'm not sure it's going to replace "chill out" in the lexicon, but I have to add it to my repertoire, because it cracks me up.

Also? DeRo is hot. We miss him. He'd be an infinity heart for me.

Sarahaw said...

Why don't you like Schafer!? I think he is absolutely adorable! :)

Lauren T. said...

Sarah, I've never been a fan of white boys who act like thugs. Maybe he's a nice guy, who knows? But he comes across as a cocky butthole and his play on the diamond isn't enough for me to overlook the flat brim and gold necklace. There are a lot of things about him that rub me the wrong way.

I don't automatically dislike every guy with a lot of self-confidence, but unless their swagger is backed up by actual performance? I'm not interested.
