Just heard it on ESPN......So sad.
Is it just me or did the timing of this seem...weird? I also am now wondering how long Medlen is in the rotation and when they call up Hanson...

This is pretty upsetting. I know Tommy's not the same Tommy from 10 years ago, but he was willing to pitch for virtually no money. I hope the Braves aren't putting their hopes on Medlen after one good start. Maybe he is awesome, but do we really know yet? I feel like this is a crappy thing to do do someone who's been a HUGE part of the Atlanta organization for so long. Not cool.

OK - Nate McLouth is a pretty good pickup. That makes me feel a little better. But, only a little. I have a LOT of love in my heart for Tommy Glavine.
So sad. Tommy was always my favorite Braves pitcher. This hurts me more than when Smoltzie left.
Nate McClouth, huh? That's a pretty good move. He's a really solid player. I'm surprised we only gave up prospects for him. Deep down, I was really hoping Frenchy was part of the package, but I guess I'll have to wait for that. :)
If anyone is interested- Here is Bobby's take on releasing Glavine (he also talks a little about McLouth)- he looks devestated about it...clearly not his call...
