I've spent my date-less evening fielding phone calls and IMs over this trade. It's been a very interesting four hours!
I just got home and heard the news! Nothing personal against Frenchy, but I started jumping up and down with glee. That, coupled with the margaritas that are still in me, made me very happy. :)
A damn Met of all things. Piss in my conflakes if you must, but don't aim for the OJ as well.
I'm sure it's what they feel is best for the team but I'm still kind of bummed. I liked him too much to just give up on him.

I'm happy too, my reaction was probably similar to Jen's. Even though I like, ran out of patience with the jeff francoeur experiment a long time ago it's always kinda sad when even a player i don't like leaves for whatever reason, even if they suck.

I came straight here as soon as I got online to get your take on it. While I will miss Frenchy, I realize this is a game where winning is everything (esp in a sorry sports town like Atlanta). Bye, Frenchy. Hugs to Baby.
PS...it's gonna be weird when I'm there on the 17th and Frenchy is in a Mets uniform. I'll still give him a cheer when he comes to the plate, though.
