Baby may have more Lasik surgery

From the Gwinnett Daily Post:

ATLANTA - Brian McCann will take a few weeks to rest up and then plans to do some traveling before he begins to think about next year.

The Atlanta Braves all-star catcher knows that one thing needs his early offseason attention, though.

Despite playing with glasses the last five months of the year, McCann still isn't comfortable with them.

"I think I may have Lasik surgery again," the Duluth product said.
"We had a great second half," the 25-year-old said. "There is a lot of talent in this clubhouse. I think we'll come out next year and have a really good season."

(Heh, "the Duluth product"... as if he's a special kind of honey indigenous to the region!)

I read this, too. I'm all for him being able to see the best that he can, but I really don't want his vision getting worse if something happens after he has the Lasik done again.

He had Lasik too young. If you have the surgery before your eyesight is finished changing (usually in your mid- to late-20s), you'll more often than not need a touch-up.

My eyesight wasn't stable for a full year until I was 28.

Lauren, he IS a special kind of honey. :-)

I wish he wouldn't even tell us 'til it's done. Now I'll worry.
