"Under the Lights: Making of a Braves Broadcast" airs tonight!

I'm actually very excited about this, but then, I love the Braves broadcasts. If you've watched some of the others, ours are seriously superior!

From their media release:

In Under the Lights: Making of a Braves Broadcast, SportSouth turns the cameras around to give viewers an all-access look at what it takes to televise an Atlanta Braves game. The 30-minute special, which chronicles the Braves’ 6-5 walk-off win over the St. Louis Cardinals on May 1, debuts on SportSouth on Friday, July 8 at 10:30 p.m. ET following the Braves game against the Philadelphia Phillies at 7 p.m. ET.

Hosted by Braves pitcher Tim Hudson, Under the Lights: Making of a Braves Broadcast goes inside the production truck, the broadcast booth and the Braves’ clubhouse to showcase the controlled chaos of a live game production. The special utilizes split screens to display simultaneously the broadcasters, production team and what the viewers see on their televisions at home.

With exclusive insight from play-by-play announcer Chip Caray, analysts Joe Simpson and Tom Glavine, producer Joe Vencius, director Bill Moore, Braves LIVE senior producer Mike Iachino and others on the production team, Under the Lights: Making of a Braves Broadcast highlights the role each plays on game day, the dynamics between them and the pride they take in broadcasting Braves games.

“Collectively as a group, all of us are very proud to be a part of this unique opportunity to continue the legacy of Braves’ baseball throughout the Southeast United States,” said Moore.

Under the Lights: Making of a Braves Broadcast debuts on Friday, July 8 at 10:30 p.m. ET and has additional airings on SportSouth on July 9 at 2:30 p.m. ET, July 15 at 6:30 p.m. ET and July 18 at 6:30 p.m. ET.

You can watch a preview video here. Looking forward to it, SportSouth!
