Teixeira: Braves fans can't wait to see what he might do with a full season in Atlanta. Teixeira played 78 games for Texas and hit 13 homers with 49 RBIs, and after the trade to Atlanta he had an immediate impact and gave the Braves 17 homers and 56 RBIs in 54 games. Teixeira homered and drove in four runs to draw a curtain call on Aug. 1 in his Atlanta debut, and he homered in each of his first three games for the team.

There is always plenty of debate about what constitutes the meaning of "clutch." It is whatever criteria you choose, but ultimately this applies to the player whose teammates count on him when it matters the most.

10/26/07, ETA: Teix lost out to A-Rod. Boo.
