In Wednesday night's broadcast, we were treated to this story, as told by Joe Simpson:
Brian, in batting practice, hit a ball over the fence in right field and Bobby, as he likes to do when some pitchers are throwing on the side, was sitting in the bullpen watching the pitcher throw. And the ball came down and hit Bobby in the back of the neck -- on the fly -- and Bobby was really hurting. I said, "That's just a shame," and he goes, "Yeah, but thankfully it was McCann because it was losing velocity as it came out there."
