He does the "I love you sign" into the crowd after he hits a homer...but then he does it in the dugout too. And, some of the guys like Frenchy, B-Mac, and Tex do it back...any idea what it's for?
I don't know the official word -- maybe someone should write in to the Braves pre- / post-game show Braves Live and see if they can answer that. It just looks like Chipper trying to be cool to me. ;)
I actually read a while back that he does it to his wife...
