Surgery.

"Who said that?"

Several sources have reported that Pete Moylan will have surgery this week to repair the bone spur in his elbow and the ligament it has "compromised". This is the most clear/concise clip I've found:

To make room on the 40-man roster for Norton ... the Braves moved Peter Moylan to the 60-day disabled list. Moylan will visit Dr. James Andrews later this week and at that time, he may have his elbow repaired via Tommy John elbow ligament transplant surgery.

If all goes as expected and he undergoes that surgery, Moylan will likely be unavailable for 12-14 months.

Best wishes to you and your family, Pete. See you next spring. *sigh*

5-6-08 UPDATE: Jerome just announced on 'Braves Live' that Pete's surgery is scheduled for Thursday, May 8 at 10:00am.
