Hey, those are the Real Estalker's words, not mine. (I wish they were mine -- it's right on!) Here's the link; tons of details! :)

Seriously? A 14,500 square foot house for $3.75 million? Man, I need to move to Georgia!
I could live with that
I think it is more that Southern California is really screwed up when it comes to housing prices:)
omgosh i love that house way more than his new one (with the exception of the interior decorating!) :)
Is this the same house that was featured in Chop Talk a couple of months ago?
CAbravesfan, my family & I are moving to NE Georgia & the house we bought is great. It would have cost twice as much for a house of its size here in Florida.
So they went from pseudo-plantation to a monastery. A little strange.
The one in Choptalk is the new house, CC.
flbravesgirl...
and GA actually has things like seasons (it was 96 degrees here yesterday...yuck!)- we only have hot and warm- i'm jealous:)
I'm looking forward to seasons too. Here it's hurricane season & tourist season & hot darn near all the time. I'm going up in 2 weeks & can't wait to see our leaves turning.
I would kill for something resembling fall or winter
I think you'd better move to GA too. :-) Among all the other wonderful things about my future home is the fact that I can get to Turner Field in about 1 hr/ 45 mins. We've already discussed spending occasional weekends in Atlanta for ballgames, shopping, etc. That will be neccessary since we are moving to a very small town.
again with the jealousy- it takes me that long to get to dodger stadium (which in so not worth it) and it is only 25 miles away...
FL, NE Georgia is gorgeous. North Georgia in general is beautiful, and I am really looking forward to an apple-picking trip next weekend. :D
The comments win:
The foyer looks like a vulva.
Annnnnd, it does. :D
I think that place is hideous. Worse than the monastery in which they're currently living. If he bought that lot in '92, that must have been Carrie's house, right? What year were they married? Right around that time, I think. I know. I could look this up, but certainly one of you smart chicks on here knows the answer. ;)
What's with the pack-n-play in the bedroom?
It does look rather over-done, Jennifer. And the new place looks practically empty & somewhat un-welcoming.
Lauren, familiar with Rabun County? That's where I'm moving. There's a beautiful orchard just down the road, along with a vineyard & the drive-in theater (they actually show first-run movies).
Some of my friends went camping last weekend at Dick's Creek (hee) up there, but camping isn't my thing. Why sleep on the ground when I have a perfectly good bed and a flushing toilet? :D I've driven through to go to Pine Mountain, too, but I don't think I've ever stayed there. It's beautiful, though!
Well, gee. I just Windows-live-mapped the Hurleston address (I LUV Realestalker, btw), and it seems I live a mile away from the Glavines. That is, as the crow flies, since there is no crossable bridge at Jones Bridge Park and CCS is a gated/fenced/guarded community. Interestingly enough, their baseball diamond backs up into a public access road for a park.
Rabun County - beautiful country/hills (great motorcycle riding), but I've got the city in my bones!
