"Mommy!"

"Mommy, look! I caught it! I got the ball!!"

"Good job, honey."

Love it! He actually looks like he's gonig to try to put the ball in his mouth :)

Poor Casey just gets no love! (sadly, he won't get much from me either...I do promise you all he really can hit! I swear he can hit! You'll like him then, right?)

Aww. *hugs Casey* He may have the speed of Sid Bream, but I think he's a keeper.

I'm a weirdo when it comes to my reasons for loving a player.

Amazing: Baby, Chipper. Love Baby, no love for Chipper.

Not amazing: Pete Orr, Kotchman. Love Pete Orr, don't love Kotchman.

I can't explain why, but I've never latched on to Casey. Maybe something will change my mind one day. :/

I know what you mean, Lauren. I can't explain my love of certain players, either. For instance, I like Teix okay, but for some reason could never get all that attached.

I could have really, really loved Teix if I expected him to be around for a while, but I knew the Braves simply couldn't afford him. So, I enjoyed his prettiness while he was here, but he's not one I'm following after he left us.

My word verification is "amess". Heh.

I'm with you on Teix Lauren...so pretty to look at but you know you can't get to attached becasue he doesn't view baseball the way normal people do, and there is no way on earth I could follow him as a yankee (but lord is he pretty!)

You lknow what- I have another posting proposition for you- when you feel the need to post anyting about Casey, just include a pic of Teix in a braves uni instead...Casey gets some love and we get to look at something nice :)

I find myself more on his side...don't know if its b/c we got to hear a little about the off field things he was was dealing with last year or b/c I'm a sucker for an underdog - and that's how I see him with the way he's talked about everywhere. Even I've 'forgotten' about the good hits/plays he's had when it comes to the more clutch times. Seems to have a more reserved personality too which doesn't help get to know him very easily...maybe he'll take some lessons from KJ.

I'm like moatsak, I usually like the underdog more than the most liked. I've always been that way with most things that I've liked throughout the years. I think Casey stuck out to me because he is reserved and mostly because people would rather see him out of at Atlanta because "he's not Teixeira" or "isn't half as good as Teixeira". I always like to see the underdogs get some love.

I think that's why I took a liking to KJ in the first place and like him as much as I do now. Both Casey and KJ deserve more credit than they get from most fans for their efforts and play. You tend to hear a lot of fans hating on them when they do screw up more so than you hear fans praising them when they win the game/contribute in a big way to help the team. It seems their faults tend to overshadow their successes for some reason. But "it's fine, we'll let it slide" when Chipper, Mac, or Escobar make errors/mistakes. Not hating on those guys, I'm just saying.

I hope it doesn't seem like I don't like Casey (it kinda does, huh?) I actually like him quite a bit...enjoyed watching him as an Angel and was glad the Braves could get someone like him when they traded Teix...I tease because he's just not as much fun to look at :D
