I read a transcript and am still convinced that he got a very raw deal. I admit I have always loved Tommy and will continue to. I truly hope that he can get out there and pitch again somewhere so he goes out on top (and into the HoF) and doesn't go out hurt. I'll never forget his magnificent Game 6 of the '95 WS :)
I didn't listen to it but I am getting where I'm not feeling so bad for him. If he is wronged, another team will pick him up, and he can show everyone instead of just talking about it. That is just my two cents worth.
Slappywhite, I completely agree. There's no doubt he got screwed & the whole thing was BS. But I hate when players do this. It's whiney.
And I LOVE smoltz. Forever. And I think it was the biggest mistake to let him walk away- no one can convince me otherwise. But this isn't his team anymore. He needs to stop worrying about & commenting on what drama goes on in the Braves clubhouse.
