Campillo's shoulder surgery

Did anyone else know about this?

Campillo had season-ending shoulder injury in late May/early June. James Andrews cleaned it out. He should be back next year.

I know Campy isn't exactly a headliner, but you'd think we would have heard about it sooner, and you'd think it wouldn't have been buried on page 25 of a blog's comments. :/

Thanks for the tip, sdp.

I didn't even know he was having surgery until she posted that. I agree it should have been mentioned in a game story or in one of the main blogs at least.

That's kinda like Soriano's surgery last year that we found out about well after it happened. I wonder why some of these injuries like this go unannounced when minor injuries are usually always discussed.

I read about it somewhere about a month ago, but I can't remember where. I know it wasn't the AJC site.

How can the AJC be so premature on some stories, then completely miss out on others?

Did I miss them mentioning this during a game? I watch most of the broadcasts and never saw this during the "injury report" that Joe often does. That stinks for Jorge...
