Gordonsville graduate Jeff Bennett is in physical therapy, hoping to resume a pitching career that saw him spend time with the Sounds and Atlanta Braves before it was derailed by a shoulder injury. / GEORGE WALKER IV / THE TENNESSEAN |
Hat tip to Gondeee at Talking Chop for letting us know about this article today - apparently Mr. Bennett wasn't just sucking at pitching, his labrum was completely torn off the bone. How could he throw at all, much less be on any professional ball team? No wonder he broke his (left) hand in frustration!
After shoulder surgery, he's trying to get back to MLB pitching again. Can we have him back after rehab, please? I liked him a lot. Thanks.
