Francoeur to hold clinic at Jones' facility

Atlanta Braves outfielder Jeff Francoeur, a Parkview grad, will host a Jan. 10 clinic at the Chipper Jones 10th Inning Baseball Academy in Suwanee.

The clinic, for ages 6 to 15, also will feature an autograph session for the youngsters involved. The cost is $200.

ATLANTA - The Georgia Tech baseball team will hold the 14th Annual Baseball Benefit Dinner Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. The event will kick off the Yellow Jackets' 2009 season, which begins Feb. 20 in Atlanta, and features a keynote speaker, dinner and both live and silent auctions in the hotel ballroom.

"I'm pretty pumped up," McCann said. "This is something I've always wanted to do. Ever since the WBC started, I've always wanted a chance to play and here it is."

Autographfest? Really? What happened to FanFest? Whatever, I'll probably go!

Hopefully it's better than their poor excuse of acquiring autographs than last year's at Fan Fest. I wonder why it's not just called "fan fest", but I guess it's cause it's just mainly autographs and meeting the players.
