Pretzels

These... are amazing. They are from Fresh Market. See, last Sunday Alison and I happened to be in the same hospital, visiting residents a floor apart. She was kinda sad, so I brought her a prize to cheer her up a little. She liked my (marginal) decoration on the ziploc bag, and how I put the different-flavored pretzels in separate baggies so the flavors wouldn't meld. What? Peanut butter needs to stay peanut butter. Blueberry needs to stay blueberry. If you want to eat them together that's cool, but you don't want them ALL together all the time, right? Right.

(Re-reading this, I realize I sound like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally..." Hmm, my DVDs ARE alphabetized. I'm not as anal as she is, though... I don't think...)

Oh yeah, this is a Braves blog, and you came here to read about the Braves. Yes. Let's get on that. :D Or to start this time, let's look at a couple of former Braves...

MattE's hustle didn't decrease with the uniform change, did it? This is why we still love him. :D In other Pirates' news, Charlie Morton officially made the team in their 5th starter slot, and he promptly had a Charlie-like start. WHYYY. I do not understand this kid. I always want to cheer for an underdog, but come on, dude. I like my pitchers to be up there on the mound with a little bit of attitude. Glare in a little. "You can't hit my stuff. Go ahead. TRY. Go for it." I just don't get that moxie from Charlie. Hope he can pull it together.

Know who does have it together? Beachy. He is WINNING. Check out this video, this article, this article, and the great pic below. A super-fun girl I know told me she already set it as her wallpaper -- I can't blame her there. (My wallpaper on my laptop and phone is the same pic, one Alison took at the last game last year. I love it.)

Speaking of great pictures, I ran up on this photographer's website earlier in the spring, and his work is absolutely amazing. He has several albums of our Braves -- SP Digital Photo. The 3/17/11 album is especially great for facial expressions, haha!

Other tiny tidbits, and I have to head to bed...
  • Get well soon, JJ's side!
  • I went to karaoke last night and my last song of the night was Meds' intro song from last year, Holy Diver. I lost my voice halfway through because I had been "doing voices" all night, and was giving it my Dio all. Disappointed in myself, I sat down and tweeted that I had to give up and Meds would be disappointed in me too. Ha! ...I didn't exactly expect him to read his @s, much less respond, but he tweeted me that he doesn't even think he knows all the words and he gave me an "A+ for effort". Honey, no one knows what this song really means, not even Dio. :D Thanks for making my weekend! That was fun.
  • Going to both the pre-season games next week, already have tix to Opening Day. SO EXCITED. ♥ ♥ ♥

Ha! The hearts in the date... that's what's best about the packaging of the pretzels. ;)

I wonder what (re: who) they could be for........?

Fresh Market is good!

I loooove that Meds answered you. He is very high on my faves list & that just bumps him up a little more.

And Matte splatted against the wall like a cartoon character is just awesome.

The part that made the Meds reply so awesome is that I didn't ask him a question or anything - just tagged him in the tweet and he responded. He's cool.

And MattE... that just cracked me up. I'm seriously going to miss watching him play. :D

A friend in Chicago went to two Cubs / Pirates games this weekend and tagged me in about 30 pics of MattE she put in her FB album (hilarious). I'll put up a post later with those. :)
